Apply the points of this discussion to Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and discuss how painting or drawing can tell you more about a subject than just how it looks. Introduce the artworks by providing the artist , title, date, period, the medium, present location and a brief description of the subject of each.
Stylistic qualities: (1)stylistic similarities of the two artworks, (2) stylistic differences between the two artworks. Differentiate between subject and style, and just concentrate on the stylistic qualities, adjectives will help, as well as a lot of discription.
Conclude by describing how each artwork is representative of its artist and artistic culture. How does the style reflect the artist and the period? Why was the work made? What were the circumstances of its creation?
